THE WELLINGTON RACES.
(By Telegraph —Press Association). Wellington, Monday. Golden Plover executed the fast-
est once round recorded during the
last few days in a gallop .with Westmere at the Hntt this morning. W The latter was in trouble at two furlongs from home. Mahaki easily defeated Rosefeldt once round, his time, however, being 21 seconds slower tlnn Golden Plover's, which beats Lady Zetland's and Lottie's lime by half a second. Lady Zetland had slightly the best of Saracen over five furlongs. Bangipuhi, North Atlantic, Porepoaud Arius put in good trials, but Lottie was not on the course. Princess May and Dreamland finished together once round. The following are the probable starters and riders in tho Cup : Lottie (Davis), Mahaki (Taylor), Rosefeldt (Lindsay), Lady Zetland (Cochrane), Golden Plover (Whittaker), Rangipnki (G. Rcid), North Atlantic (White), Westmere (P. Kingan), Princess May (Watt), Porepo (F.Matthews), and Arius (Conuop.)
