Messrs R, E. Hornblow and Co., auctioneers and produce merchants, report as follows, for the week ending January 19lli:—Business for tho week has been brisk, and with few exceptions, last week's quotations have been maintained. Entries for our Saturday's sale in horses, were small, and ouly one was sold, A number of dairy cows were offered, but only two fetched the owners' reserves. Pigs, no entries. Poultry, all sold at last week's quotations. A lot of pigeons were offered, but only a few pairs fetched reserves. Pota- • toes are coming in freely, and prices arc consequently easier. Oats keep up to last week's quotations, but we cxpe-t a fall in prices during the week, as the new crop is coining in. Wheat is still scarce, and there is very little locally grown this season. Butter is ald lower, Eggs firm at last week's prices. The following mare our quotations-'—Eggs, 6d per doz.; butter, 5d per lb. PoultryFowls, 2s to 2s 2d per pair; ducks, 2s 10d; turkeys, 7s (id; geese, 8s Cd. Potatoes, 4s Cd to 5s per cwt., 201b for Is. Onions, Id per lb. Oats, Is lOd to 2s 3d; sheaf chaff, 2s 3d to 2s 9d; straw chaff, Is 2d to Is 3d. Wheat, 3s to 3s 6d. Rabbit skins, 4M to 5M per lb. Sheep skins, 3d to 4jd per lb. Horses - light draught, £B, Dairy- cows, £3 10s to £5. Sheep, same as last week. Property—We sold J-acre laud and 6-roomed house in Mastertou, for £250.
