Pahuiua, Friday. At the Jockey Club meeting last evening it was shown that tho profit on the late Race Meeting was £lls.
A meeting is to bo held to-night to the demand of the Lands Department for the ront of the Pabialua S.S. Block.
The Empire Hotel changes hands to-day. Messrs T. K. Macdonald and Tone returned from Makuri last evening, after a close inspection of the pro. porties.
The County Chairman (Mr G. Whitcombe) has gone to Fielding, to confer with Mr Lethbridge,Chairman of the Manchester Road Board, with regard to the Gorge toll gate,
