(By Telegraph.-Press Association)' Weuincton, Tuesday. The Secretary of the Racing Club, last month received a telegram dated Doc. 13th, as follows: — 11 Except Col, Eraser's Royal Rose, Wellington Cup, G. Wright, Auckland." As" except" for" accept" is acornmon mutilation in telegrams, this message was taken to convey Royal Rose's acceptance.
The Club are now endoavoring to find out who sent the telegram, as Wright has denied giving any authority for the acceptance.
