North Wairarapa Liberal Association.
A meeting of the North Wairarapa Libci-ai Association was held on Monday evening, Mr C. Hughes (President) presiding. The discussion on the Eabbit Question was again postponed until Monday, the 4th February, when the question is to be thoroughly discussed, and fanners and and all others interested are to be invited to attend, A letter from the North Canterbury Progressive Liberal Association was read containing three suggestions. The first, "That all Liberal Associations and other kindred bodies do institute a.system of interchange of resolutions of importance passed by the various Associations" was adopted. The second, "That open air political meetings be held" was discarded, as it was the unanimous opinion that such meetings could only be held successfully ill large centres. The third, " That a conference' consisting of delegates from every Liberal and Labour organisation throughout the colony, be held just prior to a general election fur the purpose of formulating a political programme," was endorsed providing that such conference bo held at least six months prior to any goneral election. Notice of motion was given to reduce the quorum for an ordinary meeting of the Association from eleven to seven.
