The election of a Borough Coun. cillor for tho West Ward yesterday, resulted as follows:—Crewe, S ( J; Greville, 19 j the former thas being returned by a majority of 40. The Cricket Association's Cup Contests will be resumed next Saturday when the Pabiatua seniors meet Woodville. So far the' Pahiatua senior and junior teams have won every match this season. The Horticultural Society's annual show takes place on Friday oveaing, and is expected to bo most successful, Nominations for tbo Athletic Society's sports on the 22nd, which close to-morrow, aro expected to be unusually numerous,
