MASTERTON A. and P. ASSOCIATION.
Committee Meeting. A meeting of the General Committee of the Masterton A. and P. Association was held yesterday afternoon at the Club Hotel. Present Messrs A. W. Cave (President), R. t» Johnston, D, Guild, Wm. Perry, .1. R, Gray, J. Hessey, J. Harvey and R, McKay, MINUTES, The minutes ef last meeting were read and confirmed, BALANCE SHEET. The balance sheet duly audited was presented by the Secretary (Mr W, Lowe6), showing a credit balance for the year's operations of £216 7s 9d; total credit balance £553 13s 9d, bank balance £229 12s 3d. This showed their position to bo over £2OO better than at the presentation of tho last balance 6heet. The Secretary explained that the balance sheet would bo presented at the next general meeting, RAM FAIR.
The Secretary said the date for the Ram Fair had been fixed for the 6th and 7th of February, by the Conference. Messrs Rayner and Harvey expressed the opinion that the date was too early, The Secretary said the date could • not now be altered without clashing with other Ram Fairs. Tho Association was also bound by the < Aaction of the delegates at the recent "~- , Mr Guild suggested that it be a recommendation to fix next year's Ram Fair later in the year. On the motion of Mr Guild seconded by Mr Johnston, it was re- ., solved to hold tho Ram Fair on the f? dato fixed by the Conference. Mr Guild asked that the Secretary obtain information re the resolution fixing tho date of the Ram Fairs, and also 88 to whether it can be altered.
PIIOTEST. Mr Bayner asked if his protest against Mr McKenzic's mare as not beingin foal at the time of the Show ( had been dealt with, The Secretary said the time, having expired, notice would now be given. mm meeting. Mr J. Hessey moved that the annual meeting of the Society be held on February 16th at 2 p.m, 4 Mr Guild seconded and the motion as carried. SPECIAL PRIZE, Messrs Nelson Bros, wrote with reference to their prize of £lO 10s, for the best penof freezers, suggesting that as the amount was not awarded as only one entry was made at the Show, that the sum be re. turned.'It was decided to ask Messrs Nel. son to allow the Society to holdover the prize for next Show. . . RESIGNATIONS. The resignations of Messrs A. Mc- ' Leod and G.EWelcbwereacoepted. | This being all the business the meeting adjourned,
