MAURICEVILLE ROAD BOARD.

Ordinary Ming. The ordinary moeting of the Mauriceville Road Board was held on Saturday tho 29th ult. PresentMessrs O. Forsberg (Chairman), O. Tait, J. F. Heckler, and P. Gleeson. Tho minutes of tho previous meeting were read and confirmed and correspondence outward, Tho Commissioner of Crown Lands forwarded schedules of ac» cruod thirds. The Under-Secretary for Lands forwarded for signature, form of agreement in connection with vote of £2OO for Dagg's Road. MrT. Goodgamo applied for the lease of part of a road decision was held over till furlw information can bo got. MrO. Isakson wrote, desiring the Board to remove fences and construct crossings on the road line between section 126, Block XIV, Mangaone, and that occupied by Mi- H. Lawson. -After considering Mr Isakson's re k quest it was resolved to inform Mm that in the Board's opinion the matter did not warrant the expenditure of public money, MrD, M, Brooks wroto, objecting to the boundary of the road reservo opposito his limestone purchase,' as defined by the Board'B surveyor,— The Chairman was appointed to consult with Mr Brooks. Mr G. Petersen wrote requesting that Mr Thos. Sunnox's name might be substituted for his on the ratepayers roll.—Eeqnest granted. Mr Angus McLeod, senr., interviewed tho Board with reference to road access to his property on the left bank of the Ruamahnnga river, —lt appears that the present s4& veyed but unformed road the most suitable position, it was therefore resolved to ask tho pro. prietors of the sections thi-ough which, the road passes, whether they would be willing to exchange land for a more direct and suitable line runnmg along the ten-ace alittle further from the river than the present road line. The Chairman and Mi- p Gleeson were appointed to represent the .Board at the Conference with tho County Council and the TJuDer Tata Road Board, to be held onthe 9th ..:■..
