1 (By Telegraph,—Own Correspon- | dent). ' Pahutoa, Thursday. The Walter Bentley Company played here last night to a crowded 1 house. The annual picnic of the Manga- | tainoka school children takes plaoe ' to-day. Twenty-fivo tons of butter have been sent away from Cook and Co.'b factories already this season. The output is now about one ton per day. Joseph Ball, an old resident of Mangatainoka, died at Palmerston Hospital on Monday. MrJobVile was installed as Mayor yesterday at noon. A speoial meeting of the Pahiatua County Council takes place to-mor-row. Mr J. A. Kennedy, Town Clerki has resigned his position, and proceeds with his family to England on a visit.
