EKETAHUNA MASONIC LODGE.
Installation of ill. I/I.
Tho installation of W.M., and investiture of officers of Eketahuna Masonic Lodge No. 92., N.Z.0., took place last evening, the attendanco'of members and '"\isitors being' very large. .'.' H;
The installation of Bit). W. B, Abbot as Worshipful Master of the Lodge, took place in the Lodge room, Parkville,in presence of about SO members, congregated from all parts of the District, including several from Wellington, and a largenumberof the Carterton'Lodge, which furnished also (with the exception of the organist) 1 a very efficient Orchestra, consisting of Bros. W. McKenzie aud W. Mooi'e (Yiolins); Bish, (Clarionet) Weston, (Comet), and Proctor (Cello;)' St. W. Deputy G.M.; Bro! H. J. Willianis conducted the Installation, P.M., Bro. Darby, acting as Master of Ceremonies. -ft) . After placing Bro. Abbottiii 'ihe Chair tho following. officers -'were invested; -1.P.M., Bro'.Cullen; S.W., Bro.H, Johnson; J.W., Bro. J. 11. Juggins; Treas., Bro. H. E. Eobeiife; Sectryßro, A, Henderson; Organist Bro. Dr. J. P. Baker ;,S.D, Bro; A. H. Herbert; J.D., Bro. Nils Aulin; 1.G., Bro. H. Olson; Tyler, Biu T, Goro; | Stewards, Bros. Edwards and Jesperseri. After tho ceremony Bro. Williams' on behalf of the Lodge, presented I.P.M. Bro. Cullen with an illuminated address, aud a : Past Master's jewel, aud in doing so paid Bro. Cullen a high complimeutfor the euei'gy and zeal ho had displayed while in the chair, the Brethren had only, to look at the Lodge room,and compare '•it with its condition at the last installation to sufficiently realize the work th«,t Bro, Cullen has been instrumental in carrying out. No doubt ho had been ably assisted by his officers who evidently - one and alltook great interest in the Lodge, The large gathering clearly bore evidence that they were advancing Masonry in the District.

We, the undersigned members of the above Lodge, beg to express to you our sincere appreciation and thanks for the great service you haye rendered in connection with it, as its founder and first Master. Your energetic efforts tlirougk* out havo been most beneficial in the cause of Masonry, ' During your term of oilicc.you havo been most attentive in' the discharge of your duties and ready at all times to extend to young members advice and encouragement. Ou retiring from the chair wo beg to offer you with'-this address, a Past Master's jewel as a small token of our esteem, and trust you will be, long spared to continue a worthy Brother,' and a ruler of the craft.

Bro. Oullen briefly replied in a very feeling manner. The Lodge was then closed, and the brethren adjourned to tlio Public Hall, where a sumptuous banquet was laid out, and it is needless to add thoroughly enjoyed by the brethreu, the newly installed W.M. ably presiding, supported by the D.Cr.M. and numerous Past Masters. In responding; to the toast of the installing officer, Bro. Williams again took occasion to commend the officers and brethren of the Eketaliuua Lodge upon the wonderful progress they had made during the past year, and said lie was quite convinced that no other Lodge in New Zealand could show the same results.
The toasts of the' Queen,' 1 Grand Lodge,' and I Visiting Brethren, 1 were duly honored; songs enlivened the proceedings, renderedby Bros. Bisli, Cottis, A W. Hog?, Moore, Gore, George,' Worboys aud Sellav, and Bro, McKay gave a recitation. A most enjoyable gathoring broke up about eleven o'clock, the brethren singing "Auld Lang Syne," and expressing themselves that they considered it one of the best and most representative meetings of Masonß which Las been held iu the district for some time, clearly showing the popularity of tlio officers and members of the Eketahtma Lodge,:,
