LATEST PAHIATUA NEWS.
(By Telegraph,—Own Correspondent), _ Pahiatua, Thursday. The Junior Cup Cricket match played yesterday between Woodville and Pahiatua cricket teams, resulted in a ivin for Paliiato by eight wickets, making thoir third win in the Junior Cup contests this season,. Neither of the Pahiatua toams has lost a match this season. Teams from Woodville aud Pahiatua Rifle Clubs met ou the Pahiatua range -yesterday, Woodville ginning by 102 points, Pahiatua put in very a weak team, Ingpen 85 being the highest scorer for WoodI ville, and Norton with 87 tho highest for Pahiatua,
■ The Anniversary of the Pahiatua : Methodist Church was celebrated last evening by a social in the Town Hall, which was largely attended. | Addresses were delivered by the Revs. Phillip and Penny. The rest of the evening was taken up by musical items and refreshments.
