EARTHQUAKE.

Wellington, Tuesday. A slight shock of earthquake was felt here at 7.35 this morning. Ixvkkcaihsill, Tuesday. A severo earthquake, preceded by a light shock was felt here at 6.40 this morniug. Cubistcuurch, Decoinbcr IS, Threo shocks of earthquake were felt this afternoon—two of them severe, at 2.43 and 2.52. and ono Blight at 3.5, A few chimneys were injured, and crockery was broken, and clocks stopped, but the damage was slight. Duxedix, Tuesday, Two shocks of earthquake were felt here shortly before 7 o'clock this morning. Tho direction was . apparently W. to E.
