GREYTOWN NOTES.

(From Own Own Correspondent,) Tuesday. A sharp shock of earthquake, accompanied by a rumbling noise, was felt here shortly after 7 o'clock this morning. The weather we are experiencing just now is intensely hot. I regret to hear that Mr J. Beerc, cabinet maker, of Circytowu, is about to go under a painful operation. Ono of his eyes has been affected for a long time from a ♦■umor, and it has become so serious that he has been advised to have the eye taken out altogether, as it is thought that this will be the only means of saving the other one.

A Maori case is to he heard at the S.M. Court to-day.
