GREYTOWN NOTES.

Monday. A young men's class was formed here last week to bo called the Groytown Theological and Mutual Improvement Class. The Class is to be opened during tho New Year. It is just what is wanted here, and I hope it will result in much goood. I hear that 34,000 was the number of sheep shorn at Mr.Riddiford's TeAwaite station this season. The number shorn last year was 88,000.
There is a Chinese doctor in Greytown, He has takon up his residonce with the natives at the South end of tho town, and is reported to bo doing much good among the sick natives.
An old Maori chief, named Paul Taki, from the South Island, is said to be closo on 100 years of ago, is at present living in Greytown. The scholars connected with the Wosloyan Church have commenced to practice their anniversary hymns. The picnic will be hold on New Year's Day.
