(From Our Own Correspondent). Wednesday, In spite of the unfavourable weather Fitzgerald Bros 1 Circus drew a largo and appreciative audionce last night. During the concluding steeple-chase one of the horses caught his forelegs in tho hurdle and turning a complete somersalt threw his rider, who narrowly escaped with his life, sustaining n dislocated ankle.
Not much interest is evinced in the local Mayoral election, which takes place to-day,
