FEATHERSTON NOTES.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) Monday. On Saturday afternoon a match was played between tho Featherston and Morrison's Bush elevens, on tho Foath'erston ground, Tho garno resulted in a win for Featherston, who put up 75, while Morrison's Bush only totalled 21 runs. Somo very good bowling was done for Featherston by John Tocker and Sussex, •who took four and sovon wickets respectively, Penny put up 27, and A. Bennettlß,for Featherston, while the, Bush's highest score was 5 by Leppine. ... Our Band, which used to be nearly 20 strong, has become defunct, Some] Uitlo while back the conductor resigned, and no one has come forward! to fill the position, It seems strange that amongst Nny musicians not ; one can be found to wield tho lutoii.
