Saturday.
A shooting gallery has been opened next Watt's Foresters' Arms Hotel. Quito a number of Nativeß and Europeans (mostly youths and youngsters) wero attracted to the spot last evening and tho proprietor appeared to be doing well. Two Maori womon created quite a sensation in front of tho public house at the north end of the town last night. Thoy were ongaged in a quarrel which quickly drew a crowd of spectators around. Tho recent winds did a considerable amount of damage to the fruit crops here. Tho Band of Hope, at a special meeting held last night, decided to hold their wind-up social on tho 27th Novembor. It is expeoted tho affair will bo a great success. ~ I rcgrot to learn that Mr Arthur Jones is suffering'from a sevoro illness.
