WEDDING at MAURICEVILLE.

(From Our Own Correspondent) An exceedingly pretty and interesting wcddiug ceremony was witnessed by a largo gathering of relatives and friends, on Monday afternoon, when Miss Alice Maud Dorset, second daughter of Mr W, L. Dorset, of Mauriceville, and Mr James McCardle, eldest son of Mr W. W. McCardle, of Pahiatua, were united in the bonds of holy matrimoiiy, by tlie Rev Father McKenna, The Misses May and Olive Dorset, sisters jof the bride, and Miss Jessie McCardlo (sister of the bridegroom) acted as bridesmaids, and tlio bride's eldest brother, Mr Leslie Dorset/ acted as best man. The brido, who was given away by her father, looked exceedingly well in her bridal costume, which was a very pretty one, Tho party sat down to 'a sumptuous wedding breakfast at the home of tho bride's parents, where the marriage ceremony took placo, and the usual toasts were honoured in a hearty inannci-. Tho happy couple left for thoir new homo at Pahiatua amidst showers of rice and slippers and tho kind wishes of all present. The wedding was ono of tho prettiest seen in tho district, and will long bo remembered by all present,
