The ordinary meeting of the aboTO Board was hold on Saturday. Pro. sent—Messrs Cameron (Chairman), Harris, McKenzio,. Stuckey, and Holmes., . :■ ./ •

A deputation including Messrs'!). ■ McGregor,; I.: Sykes, and J.' Pond waited on the Board to present a petition for connecting the Upper Manaia with the West Bush Road at the back of Mr Hare's property, Mr McGiegoraddressed the Board in support of th'e petition. Mr Sykes stated that the settlers interested were prepared to contribute at least £3 towards the cost of opening the lino in., question. - The deputation then withdrew." 4 '
. Mr Holmes, moved and lMnrria seconded that the sum of the £26 allocated for The ilJpper Plain Road for tho current year, together with any amount contributed, be devoted to the ;work : aßked for by the petitioners.—Carried. 5
Resolved that Mr "Falconer, be notified: to remove the gate com■plained of, leading to bis property, within fourteen days, and if not done within that time, that tho Engineer be authorised to remove the same. Resolved that if. Messrs Bannister and Graham will undertake to finish Carr's contract for tho amount in hand .(£66) they beallowed to do so,. otherwise tbo work be let by tender. : Resolved that the Clerk furnish the information required by tho Commissioner of Crown Lands ,with reference to Dorsot's and Salca-amtt Road. . . , . ,
Resolved that a sum not exceeding £lO bo oxpended in making a culvert on tho Upper Fernridge extension at tiro gully mentioned'in' a memorial to (the Board on condition that the settlers interested do the necessary,filling, The Finance Coinmitteo's report was read and adopted. ; ; : The Engineer's report, was read and adopted, and it was resolved to allow an additional man for threo weeks on tho Wangaehu Road, '
