Last week wo conducted sales in' Carterton, Eketahuna, and Master-' ton, all of which passed oif most successfully. Produce prices are anything but encouraging to the producers, prices being much lowei* in all lines than the week previous, ■ln pigs there is an upward tendency on account of the plentiful supply! of milk, but in most cases the reserves asked are too high for wcaners. Poultry-is falling in prices,' horses are slow of sale, and cau bts purchased for almost any sum. We quote:—Eggs, &d per doz., butter, Gd, FowiiS, 2s to 2s. 3d perpair j ducks,; 4s 3d; turkeys,.7s'Gd; geese, 5s 3d, Potatoes : New, Auckland grown, 3d per lb; old potatoes, from 45 per toil; seed varieties from 60s. : Wheat : ,From 3s Id; oats, 2s Id to 2s 3d per bushel; oaten sheaf chaff, good, 2s 6d per bag; chaff,'ls 3d.
