Or Feist moved that an, opinion bo taken from the Borough Solicitor as to whether a burgess paying his : rates, although his namo might be on the Defaulters' List, still remains a defaulter. He would further move ■. that the names submitted be put on the Burgess Roll, subject to the approval of the Borough Solicitor. Previous elections had been conducted excluding defaulters, It was resolved, as moved by Cr Feist that the opinion of the Borough Solicitor bo taken.
Cr Toist said ho took it tbat application to bo put on tho Bnrgeis Roll from defaulters had hover been ,j before tbo Council on the evo of any ' previous election, and therefore tlio -7 position was a new one.
