A statement lifts been made in this district that Anarchists are on tho warpath, and that the police are watching the more dangerous members of the fraternity. We have asked the head of the police here and ho denies any personal knowledge of these eentry, and is certainly not engaged in shadowing any of them. So far there appears to be nothing to warrant the assertion which has been so unwisely advanced. The policy of ■the present Ministry may in time develop Anarchism, but this, as yet, is the only outward and visible sign of a prospective danger.
