Monday, > On Friday ovening tho Juvenile Oddfellows' social was held, and it was a decided success, there were about 90 couples present, and amost pleasant evening whs spent, dancing aud singing was kept up till the small bom's of the morning. The cricket match between the footballers and cricketers, which was to have taken placo on Saturday,was posponcd till Thursday next, To-morrow evening tho concert in aid of St, John's Church fund takes place, and no amount of trouble is being spared with tho tableaux, so it is to be hoped that it will receive tho support that it merits. The following cases were dealt ' with in theS.M. Courtthismorning • W, Burt v. Walter Paask,£l2 4 5d for goods supplied, Judgm'entagainst defendant by default with costs £1 6s, W. Burt v, M. Caselberg. Claim £lO 4s 2d, This was a claim for goods supplied to Mr E. J, Searl as ngent for the defendant, The goods in question being the timber, etc.,for the erection of temporary premises, llr E, J, Searl was called as witness and deposed as tohavingbeen authorised by Mr Caselberg to put up the ' temporary premises, Mr W, Burt was then cajled, but as ho had not produced the'order which he received as regards the mfttoj-ialsiri question, Mr' Bunny raised objection,- and/My Izard, applied/for an adjournment till next Court day, this was granted -'.' flHh. costs, -I-
