(By Telegraph-Own Correspondent.) Paiiiatm, Friday, The Knights of Labour hivvo'appointed a strong Committee to carry out arrangements for their annual sports on Boxing Day. A social was tendered by Mr W. R. Cook to milk suppliers in this district, and took place in the Pahiatua Public Hall last evening. It was largely attended, and the festivities woro kept up till the small hours of thq morning. Mr Cook is accompanied by a number, of Wellington friends.

Tho Oddfellows' Ball at Manga, Itainoka last ovoning was well attended, and was a great success. Mr W. W, McCardie, junr,, at a Bhooting practice on Wednesday, made 29-points out of a possible 30, at 700 yds,
