FEATHERSTON NOTES.
(From Our Own Correspondent). Monday. Yesterday morning Mr J. Ciuwford, tilt; Hunger, while passing over the Railway Crossing, near Tockers, got his horse's hoof caught in the guard rails,andin frying to extricate itself, the poor animal broke its fetlock and had to he shot, This is the second accident at this crossing lately so it is to ho hoped that the Commissioners will seo to something being done at once to prevent a repetition of this mishap. Mr Matthews' imported sheep came up 011 Saturday, and vent down to Wairongomai, and they do not look any the worse for their trip and EH& new.creamery is fast drawing ■Completion, but it is a very iinBBtious looking building, being of the, shape of a Maori
