Our sale at Eketahuna on Friday was exceptionally good. Good eating potatoes show a firmer tendency, although local growers do Hot expect n further rise on account of the heavy southern stocks held in Wellington, We cannot see any hope of an advance in prices, Seed potatoes nre in good demand and fetch fair prices. Other lines in produce are much about the same as last week's quotations. The following arc our ■wholesale prices: - Eons still remain at 6d per dozen. Bin™ (good) 7d; there is a fair demand for prime salt, which is somewhat difficult to get hold of. Pon/rnv: Every description of poultry just now is scarce. Fowls, Us 3d to 3s; turkeys, Cs to 7s; ducks, 4s; geese, 5s per pair, Fruit: During hist week consignments were smaller than usual, aud pricesadvanced proportionally. We quote: Sydney oranges, 6s to 7s (id; mandarins, choice, 10s Gd; Hobart apples, 12s; Nelson, 7s (id, Potatoes : The prices are still low, and are likely to be as the season for new potatoes advances.
