GREYTOWN NOTES.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) Tuesday. Tho concert in aid of St, Luke's Church last evening was a very successful affair, Among the items was a charade acted by Mr J. K. Hornblow and Miss Haycock, and tho Misses I'rasor. A prize was awarded to Miss Hewson, who was the first of the audience to give the charade. ; A little child of a native, named Taniati Patrimu died at Greytown last week.
Mr W. Humphries went up the Taranm Ranges last week and , secured three wild pigs which .can now be seen grazing in'his paddock, South Greytown.
Tho Exhibition, to bo held hero this week will, wo hope, be largely attended. Exhibits are coming forward from'all of the district. Mr'Jdhnstori, ol tjie 'Club Hotel, Martinhprbugh, has mai|e a present' of 'a've'ry handsome,model man-o'-war. The boat is a model of tho Victory, 4ft. Gin. long, 104 cannons on board, full ligged'and- manned with the crew, fho boat was kilt by Mr H, Hockhiem,- nnd was sold fo Mr Jphnstqn, for £18,,: and is ono best.iriadol boats!have seen,.',
