FEATHERSTON ROAD BOARD.
(From Our Own' Correspondent)' Tuesday, The usual monthly meeting of the Town Board was held last evening. Present—Messrs A. Donald, Beelf:, and Roynolds. Mr Donald wasvoted to tho chair, , The of , the ; previous meeting wero road and confirmed. The Treasurer's statementshowed an overdraft on the ordinary account of £6B ss. Accounts amount to £9311s 5d were passed for payment. ' The following correspondence woyU received and dealt with: -A. Jlalav . promising to,indemnify the Board intense of any actionin connection with w his slaughter house.—Heported that Clerk had given indemnity to County Council. From E. J. Searl, resigning his position as Commissioner on Town ; . Board. —Received with regret. From same, asking for a refund of portion of his license fee,-as he lmd let his licensee lapse.—Resolved^ 1 " 1 ; that application could not be enter. tained. ■ From A. McKenzie, asking for road to trucking yards to bo ■ gravelled,—Kesolved to grant application, ' From Colonial Secretary's Office, informing the Board that 7 members to the Town Board , had been agreed to by tho Government ■ • From H, J. Urwin, re a deposit sent with a tender, which bad not " been returned.-Resolved that it be returned. The Works: Committee's report was.received and adopted. • . Some general business was done and tho meeting terminated. \
