Wanganui, Tuesday, The match between the New South Wales representatives and the combined team of tho Wanganui and Manawatu Unions was played here yesterday, and resulted in the', victory for the'home team by 13 points—two penalty goals, one try and a potted goal—to nil. The weather was wretchedly cold, but one of the greatest crowds ever seen in Wanganui assembled to witness it. Tho game was extremely rough, and the teams were well matched in this respect. Duncan kicked the three goals, and Isherwood obtained tho try. ! Wellington play Taranaki at Hawera to-morrow (Wednesday,) New South Wales play Hawkes Bay at Napier to-morrow. On Thursday night Wellington will bo very much alive with representative footballers, New South Wales will arrive from Hawkes Bay, Taranaki will pass through on route for Canterbury, and the Wellington reps, will arrive home.
