Ax enterprising firm once upon a time started selling sandwiches at one end of London Bridge, andgiiiger beer, at the other; the sandwiches being of such an arid nature that purchasers of them were compelled to buy liquid refreshment at the earliest opportunity. Seddou and Co. conduct their business quite on the same lines. First of all they dispense labour sandwiches which compel meu to fall out with one another, then this (s followed by, their compulsory conciliation lemonade, which is supposed to allay the blood thirstiness which they themselves have aroused. If it had not been for compulsory labour bills, compulsory conciliation would never have been needed.
