GREYTOWN NOTES.
(From Our Own Correspondent,) Saturday. I hear that another young fellow here has decided to venture out into the wide world. His destination will bo South Africa. The Band hold a social in the Palace Hall last night, which was well attended. I notico that a few errors crept into tho latter part of my notes on the Band Ball. It should have read: -"Barrister," Mr F. H. "Wood; "George III.," Mr John Kent; "Pirate," Mr Eea. Thrco Councillors are wanted for our Borough this month, in place of three wdio are retiring. A requisition is being signed asking Messrs P. H, Wood, Chas. Tally and B, Bright to stand, I believe Mr Loasby, who is ono of the retiring Councillors, is willing to co'mo forward again. I should like to see a largo number come forward, and show that they take un interest in Borough affairs. It would be a wise plan to call a public meeting and lot each candidate express his views, and this would give the ratepayers a fair chance of deciding who are the most capable men. The weather is still very rough and stormy,
