Saturday. Jlr Viewy, of Kniwaiwai, had an unpleasant experience this morning, by dislocating his jaw. through yawning. Ho was brought into Peatherston by Mr Boleher, and eventually DrHanralty and Mr Good, chemist, managed to get the jaw into its place again. Wo hear that this season we arc to have two cricket teams here, it was thought tlint the footballers would combino with the cricketers ami form one team, but there has been a split so we aro to have two doyens, On Tuesday there is to be a meeting hero to receive a proposal from a company to start a dairy factory for Fcatherson and the surrounding -district, tlio company offers to find nil tlio necessary capital, and there is to be no binding as to taking up of shares. As the proposal seems to bo vory enticing no doubt it will be accepted. Thero is a talk of establishing a branch of the Knights of Labour hero, active canvassing for names is going on, and when sufficient aro obtained, I hear that a delegate from Mnstorton is to be asked tocomoand giv-c an address, on the subject. Influenza is still prevalent and many aro laid up with it, specially the old folks
