FEATHERSTON NOTES.

(From Our Own-Correspondent). Wednesday, The annual meeting of the Featherston Cricket Club was held on Monday evening, Mr M. Tail was in the chair. The balance sheet and report were read and adopted. It was resolved to hold a ball in aid of the Club fund, on September 21st, The report showed that during the season 13 matches were played, G won, 2 drawn, and o lost. Mr A. Bennett was awarded Mr W. Bock's bat for best average batsman ; Mr W. Sussex a ball given by Mr W, Toogood, for bowling honors; and Mr J. E. Penny, a bat presented by Mr James Smith, for the best allround cricketer.

I The following officers were elected [ for the ensuing season Patron, Mr A. Matthews; President, Mr A. 11. Knowles; Vice-Presidents, Messrs James Donald, D. 11. Bobertson, Jas.
