Auckland, August 28, The following Now South Wales team has been selected for the North Island match to-day;—McMiihon, Parish, Surinan, Dibbs, Galloway, Barry, Lane, Edwards, Carson' Hannah, Alcoclc, Loban, Scott' Jlraund and Loban. Mr Sefton, manager of the N.S.W team, iu implying at. the " social " last evening, said tho team were hopeful of making a big stand against the North Island team, but if they were to take the match of Saturday as a criterion, they would, be thought, have few successes during the tour.' A ",wiil'' was given by the Working Men's Club last night in honour of the New South Wales and Wellington football teams. In responding for N.S.W. Mr Sefton said they were gratified with the reception given them by tho citizens of Auckland. A Wellington representative, replying for hi.s comrades, said that the Wellington men came determined to win, if possible, but would accept defeat in good spirit. If that fato befel the Aucklanders, he trusted they would maintain a similar good feeling.

To Ore Ore will bold a practice on their ground to-morrow afternoon, the game to start at 3 o'clock.
