Tuesday. Sevoral early plmn trees are already in bloom down this way. Judging from the healthy state of tho ipeach treos there is evory likelihood of an abundant harvest of this luscious fruit this season. Mr Thos. Haycock, of the Waira-Co-operativo establishment here, is to'be united in tho jHjr bands of matrimony to-day, to Hs Bicknell, of Fcatherston, Their ■any friends will wish them every mcccss in lite, The Fire Brigade turned out last light and had a good wet practice. The Band of Hope held a very ood meeting last night. I hear that two or three young iwnsmeu intend taking a trip over i Ooolgardic. If they do I hope they will not return until thoy unearth a fow nuggets worth bringing back.
