CARTERTON NOTES.

The minimi meeting of the Wairarapa Trotting Club was held on Saturday at the AVliito Hart Hotel, Carterton, about 15 members only wo present, the night being very stormy. Mr J. Hodder presided. Tho balance sheet, which was read nud adopted, showed outstanding liabilities £7l4s, against which were overdue subscriptions estimated to produeo £B. Six new members were elected, and the following officers were appointed:—Patron, W. C. Buchanan, M.H.R.; President, C.A. Pownall; vice-Presidents, A. McKenzie, R. Bright, W, McKenzie (Mnsterton); Judge, J. Hodder; Starter, R. Roake; Handicapper.J. E. Henry; Clerk of Scales, J, Hadley; Clerk of Course, W. Abbott; Timekeeper, A. Bish; Secretary, R. Roako; Treasurer, A, Bish. Fifteen Stewards were also elected. The programme was limited to £lls, and left to the Stewards to arrange and to fix tho date of the Trotting Meeting. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded to Mr W, McKenzie (Carterton), for hisjpast service as Honorary Secretary, and regret was experienced i that he could not continue the office.
