PAHIATUA ITEMS.

Pahiatua, Friday. Yesterday Inspector Harvey, of the Slock Department, was called to inspect two cows, at Mangahao, i which he pronounced to bo suffering 1 from tuberculosis, and at once hail the animals destroyed. Tho Borough Council has decided to proceed with tho erection of a bridge over the Jlangatainoka, The.l3itllp.iice settlers and the new proprietors of tho Dairy Factory do not agree on several points, and are apparently inclined to start a coI operative factory, Active operations aro in progress for having the main factory at Pahiatua and creameries at Hawera and Kaitawa ready for the first of the season, Tenders for the buildings closed yesterday.
