It is reported that Great Britain intends to propose to the Powers that China and Japan shall both evacuate Corea, and the country ho placed under international control, llussia, however, is not likely to agree. Hongkong papers,to Ist August stato that eight transport vessels left Shanghai in one day for Corca, Many of the so-called Chinese soldiers are only coolies armed witli bows, arrows and spears, Many arc boys. The world is at the mercy of the Chinese and Japanese Governments in obtaining news of the conflict, as all information must satisfy tho censors of one or other Power.
