GREYTOWN NOTES.

Wednesday. Yesterday afternoon the town was all alive with Visitors to witness the rep. football match. JCdison's latest phonograph was oxhibited at the Foresters' Hall last night, when owing to connterattractions the attendance was not large. The usual meeting of the School Committee was held last night, when it was decided to hold a special meeting next Taesday evening to consider applications for cleaning the school. In the meantime Mr W. Pole has been engaged, I hear that Mr W, Hurt lias started rojio manufacturing atFeatherston, This gentleman also runs a large sawmill, general store, bakery business and ilaxmill, and thus the employer of a large number of hands. Wo could do with a few more of such business men in the Wairarapa, and things would very soon" look up."
