Tuesday. Last evening there was an exhibition of the phonograph in St. George's Hall, Theie was not a very largo audience, but they appreciated the records which were given, which included vocal and instrument selection, band pieces, etc., all of which wero plainly heard, The exhibitor, Mr Leydon, gavo an interesting account of the various uses to which tho instruments are put now-a-days. To-morrow evening tho Oddfellows hold their annual ball, and they are doing , their utmost to mako tho affair a success, v
Sheep continue to go from hero; a consignment of nine tracks wont down to the Happy Valley Company this morning, Yesterday, tho old toll house was moved from the Rimutaka road, by Mr W, Burt, and placed down by the back of Mr Seai'ls residence. Thero were ten horses used in its romoval, and needless to' Say' it was a very laborious task,
