GREYTOWN NOTES.

(From Our Own Correspondent). Monday. The weather for tho last three days has been the finest experienced this season, A" social" was held in connection with the Working Mcu's Club here last evening, whenthemembers spont an enjoyable time, Tho services in tho Wesloyan Church, we conducted in the morning by Mr J. Burton, and in the evening by Mr Vibert, both hailing from your town. The preaching of these two young men was much admired, and tho way in which they haudled their subjects proves that they intend to make tho best use of their talents, It seems a pity that our town cannot produco a few such " young beginners," to take the place of the elders when they are called upon, Tho latest phonograph is to be exhibited here this week, I hear that the Christian Eudeavour class in connection with the Presbyterian Church is doing good work in our midst. Such is wanted! Cannot something be dono to improve tho present condition of the poor natives. They seem to be left out in tho cold entirely. A social was held in the Firo Brigade Shed last Saturday night, in honour of the departure from our midst of one of the members of the Brigade. Captain Maguiro was in the chair and a jovial timo was spent by all present.
