WAIRARAPA NORTH COUNTY.
Finance Committee.
The Finance Committee of the Wairarapa North County Council met this morning, The minutes of the last mooting were read and confirmed, It was decided to ask tlio Clerk to explain certain items for clerical assistance. Resolved tlmt tlio expenses claimed by Messrs Daniel!, Chamberlain and Hcsscy, for attending meetings of the Mastcrton Licensing Committee, be held over until the County Clerk's return, in the meantime, the basis upon which the claims tiro made to be ascertained, Resolved tlmt the Chairman of the Council interv.'<!w the Minister of Lands re a grant for the Tiraumea Bridge, as'the Council's accounts nro now considerably overdrawn, nnd therefore funds are not available for the work,
Accounts amounting to £7lB lis 8d were passed for payment-, and the meeting adjourned.
