Cameron v. Pakihnkee.— Claim, £l4 7s Bd, Mr Beard, for defendant, consented to judgment. Jones v, McKay.—Claim, for costs of summons. Defendant had paid amount ot claim, but not cost of summons. Judgment for amount; costs, (is. ;
Jones v. F. Johnston—Claim,£l 5s 7d, Defendant wrote, acknowledging claim, and offering to pay by instalments, Plaintiff accepted tho oifer if paid in two instalments, and judgmont was entered up accordingly, Robert Bell v, Maika ilataiko.— Claim, £23 for balance of wages due. Mr Pownall for plaintiff, Mr Beard for defendant. A further amount of 25s was allowed as a credit on the claim, Judgment for £9 14s 7d; costs, 14s. Dixon Bros. v. E. J. Searl— Claim, £99 10s Id, Mr Beard for plaintiffs, Mr Pownall for defendant,
Joseph Dixon gavo evidence in support of tho claim, and produced evidence of the supply of all goods mentioned in tho statement of claim. No paymonts had been made, except those which appeared in the state- j ment,
in answer to Mr Pownall, witucss said credit would have to be given for a p.n, paid in Novembor, of £32 8s Gd, if it was paid to the Bank. Ho bad given credit for a cbeqtio of £7 17s ill May, which, with a bill of W. 11, Nicholls, and a cheque for £lO, made up tho payment of a dishonoured cheque of £4O, given on 4th April, To Mr Beard: Tho Bill of £32 8s Gd was a renewal for one month of the bill given in settlement of tho accounts settled 111 July, 1893.
The defence admitted the supply of goods, and the question was reduced to a matter of the credits
given. The Court tlion adjourned till two o'clock,
