Auckland, Tuesday. ( At the annual meeting of the Auckland Racing Club, the chairman said that besides paying off a idcbit of £SOO, thoy had paid £8,910 lin added money. All the meetings except one showed a profit, and on that occasion there was a loss of only £2lss Gd, Ho thought that tho totalisator was safe for the noxt two or three years. By that timo people would have becomo a little more enlightened, though he himself had not the slightest doubt, if the totalisator woreabolished racing would get on just as it did before. The profit for the year was £689, The following were elected officers for tho year:—Messrs Morrin, Dickey, Philson, Gorrie, Russell and Thompson,
