MASTERTON ROAD BOARD.
Finance Committee.
Tho Finance Committee of the above Board met on Saturdny, there being present: The Chairman (Mr Holmes), and Messrs McKonzie, Harris, Stuckey, and Camoron, JIIXOTO. The minutes of the previous mectingwero read and coiitirmcd. ■ TIIKASUIIKr's lIBI'OIIT, The Treasurer's report was read, and showed a net debit of £735 C's Id. ACCOUNTS. Accounts amounting to £428 5s lOd were recommended for payment, CLAIM KOK IVAGKS.
Mr Hugh Campbell waited on the Committee with reference to his claim for removing a fence on the Kiriwhakapapa Road, and also for putting in a claim for his son for attending to a bridgo which was in danger of being burnt last summer. Mr Campbell also stated that ho was about to fence his land fronting tho Kiriwhakapapa Road and wished to know whether tho Board was prepared to fell tho trees and scrub still standing on the road, It was resolved that Mr Harris bo requested to examine the bush to bo felled on tho Kiriwhakapapa Road and give the Board an estimate of the cost, It was also resolved that tho Engineer bo requested to form, an cstimnto of the' cost of tho work performed by Mr Campbell in removing the fence, and that the Board is unable under the circumstances to recognise that Mr Campbell's son has nny claim for attending the bridge. (lIIAVKt lIKSKIIVKS. Mr Stuckey moved and Mr Holmes seconded—That the Clerk forward a list of reserves which require dealing with to tho Commissioner of Crown Lands.—Carried. KOAD IIKSERVE,
Mr Sluckoy moved and Mr Cameron seconded, tbt't the committee recommends tho Board to accept Mr Minogne's offer of 2s per annum rent of pait of Norihcroft's Road .Reserve, on which his shed has been built.—Carried,
