S.M COURT.
1 MASTERTON-THURSDAY, (Beforo Messrs T. E. Price and C Hughes, J.P's, Charles Robinson, labourer of Masterton, was charged on the information of T, W, Tate with stealing three sums, vk £l l6s, £8 15s 6d and £ll the earnings of a chaffcutting plant, and also with issuing two valueless cheques of £1 each, on the Bank of Australasia, Masterton. Mr Pownall appeared for tho prosecutor, and Mr Jackson for the accused. Mr Jackson applied for a remand until 2 p.m., on the ground that he had just been instructed to appear for the defence. Mr Pownall pointed out that there were five cases to be dealt with, and that if they wero not begun until J 2 o'clock, it would not be possible to finish the cases to-day. After some deliberation the Bench adjourned the cases until 2 o'clock,
