5) Mr F, Bp Wood held his usual fortnightly stock sale yesterday at tho Taratahi yards. A large number of stock of all clases wcro yarded, and the attendance of buyers was good. The quality of tho stock, moro particularly sheep, was not up to last sale, neither was tho bidding so spirited, sotcm 1 pons being passed in wliercas at last sale all sold readily under tho hammer. The bidding for cattle was better, all entries were sold, and if anything a little better than last Palo rates, Prices realized aro quoted as under, viz,:—Sheep: fat ewes, 8s 6d to 10s; store wethors, 8s to 8s 10s; ewes in lamb f.111., 5s to Gs; culls, 2s Gd to 2s lid; lambs, 3s to 5s Gd; culls, Is 6d; dry ewes, store, Gs Id, Cattle; calves, 12s to 15s; 2 year old steei'3 and heifers, 50s to 68s; dairy cows, £4 to £s2sGd; storo do, £2 to £4, I'igs; 8 weoks old, 8s; porkers, 13s Gd,
