At the Supremo Court, Michael Alexander, for receiving goods,knowing tho sametolmvobeendishonestly obtained, wasseutenccd to fivo year's penal servitude, the Chief Justice remarking that Society had to be protected ngainst such men, for whom it was necessary to provide extraordinarily severe punishment. Francis Wm. Byono,who disposed of goods obtained under f also pretences to Alexander, was released on probation,
