UPPER TAUERU ROAD BOARD.

Ordinary Meeting, The ordinary meeting of the above Board was held on June 2nd. Present—Messrs C. E, Cockburn-Hood J. Mcliae, and J. P. Perry, Mr C. E, Cockburn-Hood was elected chairman. Mr Cockburn-Hood in thanking the Board for again electing him chairman, said that although sonic of the settlers were dissatisfied with theamount of work that had beendone for them by the Board, ho would point out that the fourths due by the Government from the Grown Lands hud been advanced by (he Board for several years, and the amounts supplemented by the Board, Considering the small rate levied and the extent of new tracks to be kept in repair, he thought the Board coald feel satisfied they had conducted the affairs of (lie District in a just and equitable manner.
