(By Telegraph'.—Press Association) Dotix, Juno 7, ' The'annunl meeting of the National Dairy Association was held to-day It was resolved to refer to the Executive together with Mr Reynolds (Auckland), and Mr Bobbins (Stratford), tho defining of conditions of which the North Island factories could join the Association, It was decided to point out that if cold storage is not provided-by next season tho industry will suffer great loss. It was also resolved that the most modem cool cars for butter should be provided by tho Hailway Commissioners, and that in tho interest of settlement all'over New Zealand special facilities in the waji! of cheap and effective railage for milk and all dairy produco should bo provided. The Committee appointed to consider tlio Dairy Industry Act brought, up a report and it was resolvedto recommend tliat the Act should be amended so as to give Govommont inspectors power to mark butter for sliipmenfc as "bail or adultorated, and that dairy butter mean only butter made and packed at individual farms, A further recommendation was made that the Act be amended sOtliat the ipowcr now conferred-oninspectoi's of-'ffiilk for sale in towns should bo extended so as to cover the inspection of all dairies vnd milk-sheds by stock inspectors, It was resolved that the Association should appoint a committee to endeavour to regulate the price of milk in different districts.
